The Cabin in the Woods

(Movie, 2011)

Awesome movie. One the greatest movies in this century. It starts off like that stereotypical teen horror movie but turns out to be totally riveting. Not commercial at all. What I like best is the thought that the producers made this not thinking of a finnacial possibility of a franchise: they really ended it as they want.

PS: the ending is an orgasm for horror aficionados.

Lost in Space

(Movie, 1998)

The year is 1998 yet I don't understand why this movie is sooooo bad! I get it if is because of bad screenplay. Most of bad movies are because of bad writing. Or bad acting. Bad this one is bad EVERYTHING! For a futuristic movie, this sucked big time. I don't understand... Technology is already on its prime that year. WHY IS IT SO BAD?? :'(

Baggage Claim

(Movie, 2013)

I was watching a video in Youtube when the next video played automatically, which was "Top Movies 2013-2014". Among the top ten list was Baggage Claim. I was in the mood to watch RomComs that day I downloaded it right away!

I fell asleep the first time I played the movie. The next day, I tried to watched it again while I was wide awake. Man, did I just waste my time! It was boooooring! I cringed most of the time.  Paula Patton was just so annoying in this. Ugh! I like Derek Luke, Adam Brody and Taye Diggs, though, as always.

After the Dark (a.k.a.) The Philosophers

(Movie, 2013)

I love the premise, the twists, the puzzles. I find it cute to see Ginny Weasley, Rosie, and Norman Bates together. :) I'm just disturbed about the main protagonist (Sophie Lowe). All throughout the film, I see a young Blake Lively. I don't know if she's doing that on purpose or that if she's even aware of it. Ms. Lowe, Hollywood only needs one Blake Lively, quit it!  Lowe's performance here, just like the first time I saw Lively in the Sisterhood of Travelling Pants specifically the part where she's flirting with the soccer team coach, just gives me goosebumps! What's with the whispering Lowe? It's just lame. For a movie that gives you adrenaline, Lowe is like a buzzkill. Is that what they call "lazy acting"? Without Lowe in it, the movie would be sooo much better!

Overall, the movie is good.

Now You See Me

(Movie, 2013)

I loved this movie. I watched it twice in an afternoon. Never saw the trailer before but I got interested when I read the synopsis. Fun and intriguing, I like it.

By the way, the background music/theme sounds like The Hunger Games.

NCIS Los Angeles S04E16 – Lohkay

(TV Series, 2013)

This is the worst episode by far. Lousiest acting ever! Even the main actors looked liked they got tired of what they’re doing. This episode is just plain horrible.

After watching the first 10 episodes, I decided I will not watch this series after this current one. I liked NCIS LA because it’s light and it’s non-episodical. However, every now and then they show personal stories of the characters. It’s alright to let the viewers understand them but it appears to be pushed too hard. I get goosebumps.

As always, the creators decided to make the season finale a major cliffhanger again. It made me think never to watch season finales again unless the new season starts OR not the watch the series altogether. I might go with the latter.
